The thing now is that social media has made us want to be the same. The way we dress, talk, what we eat, where we eat, what we drive, where we drive to and so on and so forth until we get lost in the one fits all thinking.
So, remember this about you and don’t let the idea of being different intimidate you.
You Are Unique
You are different and this difference is what makes you unique. You don’t have to be a clone of someone else. Yes, the desire to be like everyone else is very strong especially when you are growing up but, you are an adult now so just be yourself.
Hone in on those traits that make you different from other people. Work on improving on the basic stuff that you have learned so far. Once you build on those different elements you will begin to recognize what direction you need to go.
If it is very different from what you have come across so far, then so be it. Go for it and start doing it. Be unique.
There is No One true Way
Just because you were directed into one genre, language or platform doesn’t mean you can’t also venture into other genres, languages and platforms. It is absolutely ok for you to change the way you do things and step into another form.
There is no one true way to build an income generating activity and it’s okay to change direction. Life is dynamic and what worked once and was thought to be the way to do things may be defunct now. Once you identifying what direction you want to go give it your all and build on it.
You Are Not Wasting Your Time
It’s not all that different doing something g different at your age. After all you grew up doing different things at school and some you did well others not. So you can do different because you have first-hand experience of switching form one subject to another.
If a particular path does not come together, you will still have learned something about yourself and your craft. Your time is never ever wasted.
